Judge Emily E. Vasquez (Ret.) Honored by California Judges Association

On September 6, 2024, before a gathering of 400 California state judges, the California Judges Association (CJA) honored Judge Emily E. Vasquez with its “2024 Alba Witkin Humanitarian Award” in recognition of her significant contributions to the judiciary and the community through her humanitarian efforts.  The CJA noted that she is an “excellent judicial officer who makes a difference for humanity as a result of [her] many years of work with the Capital Unity Council, the Health Education Council, the Sacramento Regional Transit Board of Directors, Comision Femenil, and continuing guest lecturing and providing learned advice to elementary through high school age students in the public schools, and college and law school students.”
