The Honorable Margo Lewis Hoy Named American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for Southern California Judicial Officer of the Year

The Honorable Margo Lewis Hoy sits in one of the most difficult assignments in the third largest court system in the country-  the Supervising Judge of San Diego Family Court.  It is here where the newest judges who recently left their law offices come to begin their judicial career, many with little or no background in family law.  It barely registers outwardly on the calm and contained Judge Lewis Hoy.  She is second to none in her practical approach and has lead this large group of judges spread out over 4 locations for over a year now, and through the pandemic.  At the start of the court shutdown, she was one of few judges called in day to day to make sure emergency family matters had a forum.  The bench at large, and especially all of us in the family unit, were elated to learn of this award recently received by Judge Lewis Hoy, as it could not have been awarded to a more deserving jurist.
