Judge Jane Reynolds Historical Election Victory in Virginia

jmr_pic_3.jpgOn January 21, 2026, Judge Jane Reynolds was elected as the first African American woman Circuit Court Judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This circuit covers Caroline, Essex, Hanover, King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond County, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland Counties, as well as the City of Fredericksburg. Since April 1, 2026, Judge Reynolds has been presiding in Stafford County.

Judge Reynolds' journey to this position began in 2021 in the 15th Judicial District of the Commonwealth of Virginia, where she primarily presided in Stafford, Spotsylvania, and Caroline Counties, along with the City of Fredericksburg in General District Court.
